Also I think Part 5 has been getting better.

I didn't really like the first half, but the second half seems to be presenting some pretty cool ideas. Getting better than I gave it credit for, although still admittedly my least favorite part.

Also Metallica is the best Vento Aureo Stand.

EDIT: And with that, Part 5 is finished.

Finished DxD season 1. Only 5 specials and 2 OVAs to find before I can start season 2.

Have to say I didn't have the highest expectations going in, but overall it was genuinely better than expected with a decent plot.

The first couple episodes of both arcs would be lighthearted, fanservicey, and the protagonist would be the annoying outspoken pervert cliche. Then shit would get real and everything would get better.

I recommend people watch the first five episodes (the whole of the first arc) before making dead-set opinions.

I can't take that seriously after watching some parts of Haganai yet you somehow think that show is good while Brotherhood is meh and Bebop is left in the dust. And somehow that Azumanga is objectively bad just because you didn't like it.

Anywhosits, Caelpinion ignored in that case... except didn't you sit through Haganai cause you were ultra bored?

I guess it was also kind of the same way people got me to watch Hetalia and how Tael got me to watch Strike Witches.
And how about four people at this point told me Free was actually good without giving any sustainable reason.

ALPAR YOU SHOULD TOTALLY READ KINNIKUMAN BECAUSE IT'S TOTALLY KONGOU BANCHOU BEFORE KONGOU BANCHOU WAS EVEN A THING except the protagonist isn't as initially awesome as kongou BUT YOU SHOULD STILL READ IT

If a manga is titled Muscleman then it's sure to be ballsy as hell.

I still have to catch up with Jojo and read the rest of Getter though so I'll just keep it deep in my backlog.
