Welcome to a little experiment I'm going to make here. Since everyone will be busy and such due to the holidays, I'm going to make this gaiden game of Mafia, where EVERYONE can participate.
This is not supposed to be a serious game, heavens no. It's supposed to be something that you can easily drop in/drop out at will (without actually dropping in nor out).

Here's the jist: EVERYONE (and I mean EVERYONE) can just drop a vote on who to lynch. You may choose to not vote at all if you wish.
Dead players will still be able to comment on the thread; They just won't be able to drop any info related to the mafia's whereabouts.
"But DA! How are we supposed to know who's on the mafia if everyone can drop in/drop out at will?"
That's where YOU come in. You wanna be mafia? Sure. Go for it. Like, just drop me a PM saying "I wanna be mafia!" and such. I will grab enough PM's to balance out the business. I might also add other members to the mafia horde if things get too imbalanced.
"But DA! If we can all nonchalantly stop voting, couldn't the Mafia just not vote at all and kill every single night without voting?"
Not really. The Mafia Members will have this limit set upon them: The mafia member that did not vote that day will not be able to coordinate with their fellow mafia members to select who to nightkill.
Let's say that there's 3 mafia members. 2 of them voted, while the other did not vote. The guy who did not vote has no say at all on the outcome of the nightkill, while the other 2 can coordinate themselves.
The inverse is also true: If only 1 mafia goon voted, he will carry the kill himself. And yes, if no mafia member voted that day, no one will die that night.
Finally, there are no special roles at all. Vanilla-only, with a hint of mint added to your serving of hot coco.

I pretty much want this game to be more of a casual, relaxing, friendly match; With everyone sharing Christmas stories, hanging around, occasionally voting someone off to their deaths.
It's keeping both the Christmas Spirit and the Mafia Spirit alive!

The game "begins" Friday 14th, or as soon as I get enough Mafia Members and everyone's OK to give the game a Green Light.

When you guys say 'finals' is that just the end of year exams? Because over here it's exams at the end of your entire degree that have the largest impact of all exams ever in probably your whole life.
