Round 47: It's Time to P(l)ay!

Welcome to the Sunset Riders Multifaction Mafia.

How is this going to (hopefully) work: In this game several small factions will fight to eliminate the others. The game itself will be almost a free-for-all and will only end with one victorious group. Each night one, and only one, faction will make a move. Which faction attacks is determined by RNG and revealed during the day phase (with exception of the first day). Once your faction executes a night kill, it will be unable to attack again until all the other factions make their night kills. Other than killing, roles with night powers can use them every night, unless they are the one character taking the kill.

Q: "You have everything ready and set, right Ment?"
A: I lost the roles that I quickly made up a while ago and will make new ones during the sign up time. I planned to have everything ready by the end of Massive's round, but he is unable to host so I've decided to take his place in the queue.

Q: "You will make sure that all factions are balanced and have the same chance to win, riiiiight Ment?"
A: No.

Q: "I am an asian with bad taste that loves vanilla. We will have a lot of vanilla roles, right?"
A: No. I think we should keep at least half of the players as vanilla in normal rounds, but this multifaction game is going to have a lot of night phase shenanigans and I wanted to include all bosses.

Q: "Big meanies killed my friends and I'm all alone now, how do I have any chance of winning?"
A: You can claim exactly that. Factions that are almost destroyed aren't a big threat to other factions, so you can try to convince other groups to leave you alone or ever get in cahoots with specific groups. Of course it's a temporary alliance and they will want to outnumber or eliminate you by the end of the game, but if things go bad for them and they end up alone too, you can backstab them before they have a chance to get rid of you.

Q: "What should I do if I'm not a DIRTY CASUAL and want to win?"
A: Try to find out who are the players with the most threatening roles. Don't use Cloaklogic. Ally yourself with weakened factions and use them in your favor. Don't use Cloaklogic. Try to find out who belongs to the faction going for the night kill and get rid of them during day. Don't use Cloaklogic.

As this is mostly and experiment, I won't take too much time with the sign ups unless I need a few more players.

Unfortunately, Hater broke a major rule: Revealing who's Mafia.
Luckily, one of our intrepid mods caught onto that very quickly and deleted it.

Anywho, I'm in. Hilarious timing, actually; I'm running a multiteam thing on our forums right now. In other news, I downloaded Skype today and will go try to remember my old username/password tomorrow. We'll see how that goes. I might just make a new one.


If you're interested in stealing ideas, my game has an 'Influence' mechanic. Basic idea is that high influence makes your vote more powerful, while low influence makes your team more likely to control the night kill. If you like the idea, I can tell you more about how I set it up. If not, that's fine too.
