When you're dressed in army clothes, practiced all day for a parade that you need to do the same afternoon, and have to listen to three old guys take their time talking with long speaches, while standing to attention and occasionally standing at ease...

People WILL drop like flies. I saw a couple go down slowly, one literally crashed somewhere behind me. Did I also mention all the marching we had to do for practice and on parade?

Thankfully, me being in medics, we had an air conditioned room and plenty of water for us to cool down and prepare ourselves beforehand. If not, perhaps I would have been unable to stand it in the end.



Guess I left Iowa at a pretty good time. Almost two weeks ago, it seemed to be okay weather over there.

I guess that's settled then. We're just gonna have to meet up and have a march, guys.

Back in high school, I was told to mow down even the field judges if they got in the way.
