Round 83: Game Industry Mafia

Game Industry, not Gamindustri.
It's been six months, and I hereby declare this forum alive again. With one of my most ambitious games yet.
What's that? Not my round? Eh, who cares.
Game Industry Mafia. All of the roles are based on devs and other influential members of the video game industry, each with roles that represent their games or works.
Here's an example.
Of course, this is just an example... SWERY won't actually be a role in this game... or will he?
Who are the villains? What are we fighting for? Who the hell invited Notch? All that will be answered... in Game Industry Mafia.
Linked Halt Clause is in effect. PMs are legal.
And now... SIGNUPS ARE OPEN.
Signups close Friday, June 5th at 10 PM EDT (GMT-4).

A quirky game director who is as brilliant as he is insane.
Each night you may use your keen intellect to investigate another player and determine their alignment.
You win when all other factions have been eliminated.
Of course, this is just an example... SWERY won't actually be a role in this game... or will he?

- The year is 20XX. We are the last of our kind. Game developers have been driven into a corner, unable to release any new software for fear of upsetting some new special interest group. PR nightmares kill sales expectations, and even established games are being taken off the market due to public backlash.
Those of us brave enough to take a stand have gathered here at the request of our leader, Hideo Kojima, in order to find a way to win back public support and save the industry from stagnation. Kojima has recently intercepted some intel from our enemies, apparently outlining plans to make some sort of game of their own, no doubt in an attempt to muscle us out even further.
He mentioned something interesting; they are pursuing new research. He claims what they’re doing in Washington is the missing piece... a weapon to surpass the Metal Gear franchise.
