I've lost track of how many times I've listened to Bo Burnham's new special. It's pure gold.
He has this weird way of writing songs that are hilarious, but suddenly end on a serious or somber note. Here's a few.

- This one's from a song called "Sad", where he just rhymes a bunch of sad and ironic situations, then near the end decides that it's best to get through them with laughter.

- Here's two from another song called "Song From God's Perspective". Bo sings as God, and the general theme is that anyone who needs religion or religious texts in order to live a moral life doesn't deserve to go to heaven anyway.

- The finale of his special is very weird. Voices come over the loudspeakers, supposed to be voicemail messages left for Bo. One is a girl he supposedly knew in high school (read: never actually interacted with) trying to get him to come to a college party and perform for her friends by pretending that him and her used to be best friends. The second is an agent from LA who tries to pick Bo up as a client by offering him career advice, such as "pander to the younger audience because they spend more money" and "it's not about good material, it's about marketable material". The third and final is from a "bro" that he knew (again, didn't know) from school who keeps saying that he's changed (again, he never actually knew him). The guy accuses Bo of selling out and becoming arrogant due to his fame, when in actuality his shy and awkward stage persona is no different than what his normal personality is and has always been. After all three messages end, Bo points around the stage and parts of the messages repeat to a rhythm. After a bit, the guy says "We think you've changed, bro", the agent says "We know best", and the girl says "You suck." They repeat in that order a few times, and eventually overlap, "We think-" "We know-" "You"-. Bo then starts to play his music while "We think we know you" repeats in the background.
