Okay, well. I didn't tell you guys, but I'll be attending MAGFest and I have no idea when I'll be back. Staying at a hotel with several friends, going to the con with'em too ofc. And my friend is terrible at planning and schedules so last minute, it turns out he's picking me up at 10 p.m. tonight to sleep over at a friend's house, wake up at 3, go to another friend to pick her up at 6 in the morning, and then head out.

So I won't be spending the exact moment of New Years in my time zone with family because of this bad planning.
I'll be keeping in contact with you guys every now so often though.

Kind of a shame I won't be here for New Years precisely with you guys nor my other family, but still, I'm glad to be accompanied by each and every single one of you.

I thought a certain someone would be back by this time but I guess he's just busy, so here's one to him.

So I'm immensely tired because of Fist of the North Star.

Ever heard of Fighting Mania? Google it. I didn't think an arcade game could work like an actual exercise. With Kenshiro and co. no less.

My wrists hurt, my shoulders ache, skin scraped off my knuckles, my voice hurts from shouting ATATATATA, I even look dead and tired, disshelved and whatnot.
But holy hell
Thr pain was worth the fun.

I also tried that one game by bamco, rhythm game one with drums. Taikyo no Tatsujin, or something like that.
Rhythm games aren't necessarily my thing but I'm in love with that gam.
Too bad the lines are long, I feel like death, and my pinkies hurt from the vibration ;_;

By the way, playing Fighting Mania with gloves off is real hell. There's also two versions of this game, Japanese and Korean.

Japanese has safer gloves that need more strength to register hits with original Japanese voices.
Korean one had funny English voice acting that sounds like it was done by one dude, the gloves may cause a bit of more pain, but the hits arr four times as satisfying.

P.S. MAGFest streetpass partners are the worst.

I actually played Fighting Mania two days ago. Easy mode only because first time playing. Damn was that fun and a good workout. Also played the one with the english voice acting. Haven't laughed that much at a dub before.

I didn't know there were separate difficulties. Unless you're talking about the different sequence of battles.

It's frickin impossible. I can't even get past Toki, and I really don't want to find out how insane Kenshiro must be.

So I beat the second level of Viewtiful Joe just now.

Just finished MGR.  Hardest default difficulty of course.

My thoughts on all the bosses?  Best to worst:

1. Monsoon
2. Mistral
3. Sundowner
4. Metal Gear Ray
5. Getting all the Patriot arms
6. Metal Gear Excelsus
7.
8. Armstrong


Minuano not listed, because fighting him left me a strange mix of feelings...  I don't know if I was angry or actually enjoying myself...  and then a bit sad when it ended...

The Armstrong fight was just a load of horseshit that I REALLY don't want to have to experience again on my later playthroughs.

3 against MG Ray (same single sequence, running down the wall where one hit kills)
1 against the first Grad in the game
1 against the mooks immediately after Sundowner (he had a Patriot arm, and I was spent even before the boss)
1 against the Gekkos immediately after the mooks directly above.
4 against Sam
1 against Excelsus
1 against Armstrong while on top of Excelsus

and I lost count in the fight with Armstrong's final form. Maybe around 8 or so.

Why didn't you list Sam? (Unless a joke totally just flew over me)

And for Armstrong I did realize... shitty camera work, cheap ass boss moves, after-whiff invulnerability. Several times I would try to parry only to have Raiden launch himself headfirst into the attack.

And then when I finally did get some momentum, and grabbed more than the one nanopaste I walked in with he fell like a the limp-dick bureaucrat he is. Well aside from one last cheap move where the game wanted me to hit things with blade mode that were outside where I could target.

The blade mode parts are optional, to people's surprises.

Literally every death was about 190%~175% boss health, once I was lucky enough to get to 150%. Only once of those times did he throw anything blademode related at me (and I messed up and it did finish me off).

There are different courses with each difficulty. I played Southern Cross, which was easy mode, and fought Zeed, Heart, and Shin. Thats it.
