HALOLZ MAFIA SINGS

It's about time we got this project off the ground, we've wanted to make one of these for a while now but I don't think we never had the organized outlet for it. Well here it is.

So for those of you that aren't aware, this is a group effort where we pick a song and sing it together. We're not going to be singing it together in real time however, this is going to be done by each entrant individually (via Audacity) then sent to me.

First Song:

It's suggested you use a headset when you record so you can sing along to the music and not be off timing. If you don't have a headset, try your best anyway, the more the merrier. Although no headset does make it a little harder (yet far from impossible) to sing along right, so if you did screw up your timing, I'd appreciate it if you could edit it yourself (if you don't wanna retry instead.) I'll pass around instrumentals to help you listen and see if you match up. Try to make the volume of your .wav file match up to the instrumental I'm passing. If you don't know how to edit, just leave that to me then.
If you need to record in multiple bits, feel free, but try your best to keep it all together as one composed .wav file!

How to Use Audacity:

If we don't have enough people for this, it might not take off the ground, so your contribution is appreciated.

If for some reason you can't make it, alert me quickly as possible ahead of time. If you want a secured position in a singing project, let me know so I can mark you down as due for an entry.

And most of all, don't feel bad for your singing. I'm sure the majority of us can't sing to save our lives, and this is for fun anyway. I know I sure as hell can't. So make the best of it and just have some fun.

Can we get a show of hands to see who's going to participate first? If there are plenty of participants, I might be okay embarrassing myself with Snake Eater- but I don't want this to be a duet or something. That would NOT be a best seller :|

Like I said, this isn't going to take off unless we get enough participants. I'm joining for sure, and presumably so are all the other voters.

If you fear there's not gonna be a lot of people then don't worry, if there's not a lot this won't be a thing so you don't have to worry about being alone. All the more incentive to just join though.

Dont do this. Lower the mic volume. Do not blast it otherwise the sound will peak. And then it will be ear raping.

I'll gladly passionately join in on this if it is Snake Eater (As I voted for it). If not, you can have my butchered attempt at singing moon rune lyrics. Either way, I'm down.

This sounds like some serious fun. I still have my part recorded for Badonk's Xmas Halolz song many, many years ago. I'm so down with this idea, but don't really fancy either of those songs, but do please holla when it's the next selection!!

Anyway I'm sorry to hear you don't have time, you're always welcome around here though.

Err... I don't mind singing as girly as possible my problem is where. I'm going to have to get my laptop and drive somewhere quiet and sing in my car.

Due date should be around a week or two after votes are done so yeah, take your time to look around I guess.

A reminder that voting ends tomorrow and that you should get to it if you haven't already.

I know I'm about fifteen minutes late, but that doesn't quite matter.

Check the Audacity instructions in the OP for details on how to record yourself. Remember to be as on point with the lyrical timing as possible, headsets help. You can enter without one anyway but still.
Remember: Singing quality is not the goal, the goal is to have fun. So if you sound horrendous, great! Not many of us are really exempt from that.

Send the .wav file to me via download link PM or Skype PM if you can catch me at a good day.

Just got mine done, not really thinking of redoing it. It's terrible and I'm going to laugh hard the day all of these are compiled into one audio based catastrophe.

P.S.: You can redo yours as many times as you need to.
