I don't see why spp dislikes Lucina so much, she does a backflip to avoid attacks. She can't be that bad.

When you're sure their parents are gonna pass down the skill you want them to have, and when you're sure you won't get your ass handed to you by the enemies.
Inigo and Noire's recruitment chapters aren't difficult, and Noire's has her with a bow fighting a bunch of flying enemies on the other side of a wall. Get them and make your life a lot easier.

Well, all her units had a 1-2 level advantage over the units I had. Plus, they're not exactly combat units. Anyway, I'm just at chapter 6. Ricken just died in that level as well. It's not a big surprise since I have only 4 units above level 5 and excluding Lissa, they at least level 8.
Basically, Link Lab in charge of balanced team growth.
Edit: Whoops, forgot I had a level 7.
Edit 2:So apparently Champions of Yore 1 is easier than Florina's spotpass team. Despite every unit being a level 7 or 8. Ok, most of my units are level 5 now. Hopefully they won't die as easy.

I once tried fighting a spotpass team with mostly level 10s while all the enemies were promoted classes.

Unlike people like Alpar and Leo I am completely a Fire Emblem newbie. The first FE I ever played was Shadow Dragon on DS and I only played that about 2 months ago, but never finished it because I got a 3DS.

I feel bad for those that played Shadow Dragon as their first honestly. It's a good game, but it's only really enjoyable either as an acquired taste or if you're a long running FE fan.

So you picked classic then, good good.
Also lunatic mode isn't even all that fun to be honest. In fact a lot of it really seems like artificial difficulty. For first time players, normal is completely acceptable. Hard-classic is really as far as you should go.

Man, I thought I had a SMASHING support grinding technique.
I discovered that my Miriel (who I've converted) does 1 or 0 damage to a weak soldier when hitting him with a sword (fighting Floria wireless team). I still get hearts though.
So I equipped her with multiple bronze swords and got the soldier to stand on a fort. Ups his defence and he gets health. So for multiple turns I have Miriel paired with someone she can support with and have her surrounded by people she can support with. She hits the soldier, gets hearts for her partner and the 3 other people around her. Soldier hits her, she retaliates, more hearts everywhere.
If I want, I can swap people to other people just waiting around so she can get hearts with them.
But I find out that she can only have one convo at a time (this is despite some characters I've seen having more than one at a time). So I thought I could get 4-6 support ranks up each time with her but I can only get one.
Why did my beautiful plan have to fail?!?!
