We already have a thread for Friend Codes, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to restate them here so: 4854-6457-8524
But anyway, how do you get the Dream Suite?

Giving enough Dosh to your town with Public Works and then build it.
Setting up the Reset Surveillance Center usually does the trick.
She begs to differ.
Also, 1418-7090-0228, in case nobody saw on the Friend Code thread.

I got two Triple Red Shells today if anyone wants them.
Still none of the stuff I really want.

Here's some Dream codes for some towns with cool desgins.
Nintendo: 0000-0100-0017
Gen 1 Pokemon themed town: 1200-1040-9659
Also, Redd still has what I'm almost certain is the real Serene Painting, if anyone wants it (assuming you can buy stuff from Redd when you're in another town).
The painting is no longer available as Massive bought it.

Right, I got that one. Real, luckily. I couldn't get a good look at the animal in her hands.
Re: Animal Crossing: New Leaf
I just found out that SMASHING fruit will sell for 3000 bells at another town which doesn't have that fruit natively. One day when I finally visit one of your towns I will be holding an inventory full of SMASHING peaches. I plan to farm them, hoard them and make 432,000 bells when I visit.

You could also make about that much with ~30-40 minutes of beetle hunting.

Ok. I have just realized that you're right and that fruit probably isn't a great use of my time. When they say hit the island at night they aint kidding. 2.5k butterflies, 8k beetles but all these sharks I'm pulling in!
This island feels like cheating.
But that feel when selling 5k worth of stuff to the little kappa because you caught too much for only 200 bells.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Follow these simple steps for UNLIMITED BEETLE WORKS.
1: Wait until 8 PM
2: Go to the island
3: Take the Shovel, Net, Rod, and Axe
4: Chop down all the normal, non-palm trees (make sure you've donated all the rare beetles from those, such as the Jewel Beetle) and dig up their stumps
5: Dig up all the bushes
6: Take or trample all the flowers
7: Chop down all the palm trees along the bottom beach of the island and dig up the stumps; leave the ones on the side, and plant a couple more so there are ~6 on each side
8: Return the shovel and axe, walk back inside to reset the bug spawning
From there on, the only insects you'll find after 8 PM besides the wharf roaches and tiger beetles (cheap things that can be easily scared away and don't sit on trees anyway) are Goliath Beetles (6,000 bells), Cyclommatus Stags (8,000 bells), Horned Elephants (8,000 bells), Horned Atlases (8,000 bells), Horned Herculeses (12,000 bells), and Golden Stags (12,000 bells).
Basically, head to the bottom beach, pick a side, and slowly move up, catching any beetles you see and any fish with fins. Once you get to the top, head back down from the middle of the island and once you hit the bottom again, go to the other side and repeat. You always want to approach the trees from the bottom, since the 12,000 bell beetles will scare away before they're even on your screen. You need to approach them VERY slowly, holding A to sneak while only moving the circle pad about half as far as it can go. Good news there is that as long as you're moving that slowly, you can pretty much get right next to them without scaring them away.
For reference, Golden Stags are the small, normal-looking beetles, and Horned Herculeses are the yellow ones with one long brown horn.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Leaf
I'd say you can go earlier than that. All of the beetles spawn from 4 or 5 onwards and the only extra bugs (of the ones you mentioned and hermit crabs, which you forgot to mention) from 5pm to 7pm are locusts. Also, I'd say any fish with a longer and slimmer shadow than a sea bass is worth fishing for as well since it could be a blue marlin or a napoleonfish (both are 10,000). I think the only other fish with a similar shadow is the ray (3,000).
EDIT: Wow, ok, you can go before 7PM and catch lots of Beetles but holy hell, it's just so much easier after 7PM.

Find the Walrus in Pyjamas. He'll let you get the designs. If you get a magaphone, his name is Wendell.
Edit: I like the way you find your gem rock, DA.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Leaf
I was trying to figure out what Link Lab was saying about how DA identifies the gem rock and then I Dream Suited him. Now I know and I am stealing the idea.
A few things, WHY DO THE VILLAGERS I TALK TO EVERYDAY AND DO THINGS FOR PLAN TO LEAVE BUT THE VILLAGERS I IGNORE AND WANT TO LEAVE STAY!
Seriously Robin I don't mind you but I want your house gone. Your house is ruining where I can put my bridge.
Also I could have had cool villagers like Lucky move in, but instead I'm stuck with Beardo and Phil.
I'm hoping I street pass more ACNL people because you can order furniture from their place, and some people have some good stuff (like full sets).
Also has anyone been able to purchase a bush for planting?Does that come later?

>Playing ACNL at around 3am - 5am (due to a cranky baby). Step outside my virtual house. "What is with all this spooky music? Shit this music is really creepy". Nope nope nope.
Go back in the house don't came out again till morning.
Also Animal Cross-Dressing. I won't lie, I've totally done it. I'm rocking a kimono with a fancy headress and the funny glasses that give me sparkly anime eyes.
