This has been created for the discussion of models/toys/figurines from gaming/anime or anything.

I'm not sure if there are many other people who like to buy items like I do. I figured I'd create this thread so people could share what they buy, want or have. (I'll try and post some of my stuff sometime if people are interested).

I was hyped to discover that two things I want have been given release dates. Tharja from Fire Emblem and Xiaoyu from Tekken. While Tharja looks great I had high hopes for Xiaoyu but I reckon it looks bad.

And this is Xiaoyu (which is part of the Bishoujo or the 'try and make everything overly sexy' range of models).


I don't know, the lips just look really weird which makes the face look weird. Plus I'd rather it just be normal then so pervy. I expected the ridiculous upskirt from the concept art but pronounced nipples even. Really? So as much as I was waiting for it (and the fact there are zero half-decent xiaoyu figures you can buy) I'm gonna skip it.

Anyone ever bought anything from www.1990.co.jp before? Just curious if they're alright before I give them $100.

I don't have much, but I recently dropped ~$130 on this.

Aaaah figurines. I have an unfinished vlog about it from when I went around the otaku shops in Kobe. I may post it here if ever I finish it.

I've got this Sonic figure, which I'm really fond of because it looks like a halfway between Classic and Modern.

Yeah that Sonic one is really nice. I'm not too sure why I didn't buy it when I see it. I usually like to get things a few at a time to save on shipping. Unfortunately I've let way too many things slip by umming and aahhing over them until they're gone or go up massively in price. Like this (why didn't I buy you!)

All seem to be Japan based and a bit cheaper but shipping is a mystery. Hardest thing for me is hiding how much I'm spending from the missus.

I wish I could push aside my frugality long enough to actually buy figures. I just cant bring myself to drop $70+ on a figure.
