To be fair, the game was harder when it first came out, the patches that followed its release were meant to lower the difficulty. Only real exception being the roll patch, which made the campaign harder, but was meant to lower the learning curve of pvp (and also they hated ninjas, pirates4lyfe).

Also, Dark Souls is clearly like CoD with swords.

Also Anor Londo is easy mode until you hit Eustace and Muriel.

I loved the city but hory dick it was disappointing considering how many people cried to me that they should have renamed it Anal Rodeo.

This was actually the point that I decided to patch my game, but the main benefit of the patch was in increase in how many souls you get from monsters and bosses (and also bosses giving you free humanity). If you're using ninja ring, patching could make the game a lot harder for you.

Regardless, you're only halfway done the game. Try out NG+, it's a completely different experience.

It's considerably harder in my opinion. The first half is easier, but the lord soul bosses are damn hard. The first half should only take a couple hours to breeze through so I doubt time would be an issue.

Edit: I was going to try and add some kind of short argument as to why NG+ is more difficult, but I honestly am just too baffled as to why spp might think it's easier. Did he reach the lord souls? Did he do NG++ afterwards?

OK so I went out and spent the most I have on a video game since getting Skyward Sword bundled with a controller and bought this:

($85 AUS if you're curious)

Now first, screw reviews by the mainstream media, but it's probably not like I needed to tell you guys that.

I really like most Suda 51 games. I love No More Heroes greatly. I find Killer Is Dead is better then Lollipop Chainsaw and gameplay wise probably on par with No More Heroes. It's hard to compare though as the wiimote slashes and wrestling moves in No More Heroes are so amazingly satisfying.

While the game is crazy it's not so off the walls crazy (funny) as NMH and the story takes a more darker, creepy, serious tone. That said the story is still weird (in a good way) and it's actually got me quite interested more so then NMH. Presentation is great as well.

Is the game extremely pervy sometimes? Yes, yes it is. The gigolo missions are simple but they're funny and not really necessary. They're exactly that, side missions. Do I enjoy them? Yes, yes I do. I denounce the idea that all media has to be socially acceptable by everyone. Why should stuff not be used in a game just so it doesn't upset some people? It'd deprive deviants like me the silliness to actually enjoy it. Talking about reviewers bagging the game for what is optional/side content. Besides is the idea of a ladies man sexist now?

Anyway the game is great. I'm loving it so far and I'm about a third of the way in. It has english and japanese voice tracks but I prefer the english better. Suda half the time does stuff in english first so it seems a better fit (the game is lip synched to english). Warning, Mika is annoying in both languages.

I might look into it, it seems pretty good.

As a side note, the Gamecube remake of Resident Evil is absolutely amazing, although it's probably hard to find an actual copy at this point.

I would like to try and drag a couple of you into playing SWtOR.

Not because it's that fun (though I am at least entertained), but because maybe this way when I start running instanced dungeons my party will be more inclined to explore some of these nooks and crannies rather tha-HEYWAITCOMEBACKITSMYFIRSTTIME

The gameplay itself is mundane (naturally expected from a WoW clone, though above average in all honesty), but the story is engaging, and the voice actress for the female Republic Trooper pulls a convincing Shepard impression.

I suggest either WoW cuse it is an established MMO (ignoreing all of parth) or Guild wars 2 cuse at least in there you don't have to worry about PvP (less you are into that) or people stealing your goals since all the goals are group shared quests and goals apart from a personal story line you can do whenever (Like being 30 and doing a lvl 2 story quest..your lvl will go down but you'll still have lvl 30 equipment to make life a bit easier and lvl 30 skills you can use to give you an edge.) but yeah i would reccomend those.

Also cael that is how instances work...so unless you learn to tank or heal you have to do what everyone else wants.

I enjoyed the first two KotOR games back on Xbox but I'd rather pass on this one. I like the concept but the execution doesn't sit right with me.

Besides, my computer isn't good enough to play very many games so I couldn't play even if I wanted to.

And I also have too many other games I wanna play already.

I will be the first to admit that the setting of swtor screams "bad fanfiction". However, the story within that setting is rather good, and lends itself to playing without friends until it starts throwing Heroics at you.

I've been wanting to play PSO2 now that I've actually played a bit of Phantasy Star IV (it's great). I guess the official release won't happen ever, so might as well try the patch.
