Round -1: TitleNotFoundException

So, welcome to bot testing grounds. This thread is intended to house a mock game that we can use to test out VoteBot before he's used for real. I'll need six or seven willing victimstesters to help me out here. We're going to try out as many of the bot's commands as we can to see what happens. Hopefully we'll squish all the bugs here before they have a chance to crop up in a real game.

Note: I think one of my test cases in the bot is testing out his delete function on this thread. Please stand by.

Yep, yep. One of my test cases was trying to delete posts. I didn't notice it in the other thread because the bot could only delete its own posts.

Should be good to go now. Ah, those special moments of stupidity whilst programming...

So....will this auto-update when we join? Because I have a follow-up test for my last test.

a) Yes, it will auto-update. It's currently set up to check this thread every five minutes.

b) This was actually DA's idea. I was going to just leave him in the other thread and test him without deleting his old posts, but DA suggested I set something up here so I can test the full package.

Nice test Link, I found and squished a bug that allowed players to use tags inside the bold tag, like Link just did.

I wouldn't exactly call that a bug. It gives people (mainly the host) the option of using the bot without the commands drawing any attention. Which is why I tried the color code that makes it blend in with the forum background.

Eh, I guess I would call it a bug because it allows players and hosts to obfuscate the bot's input. However, if the community wants me to lift that restriction so hidden commands may be used, it's easily done. Just say the word.

Yeah it'd be nice to have kill/revive commands seamleslly in the post instead of jutting out like bigger, bolder dicks.

Regardless, that's a minor thing.

Answer: The bot will crash when trying to edit your post to invalidate the last three in's. =P

The bot currently ignores sigs. At least, it should. Never hurts to try!

We've got a bug that's giving everyone in the thread host powers. Nice find!

BTW, the bot is treating that command as valid (so it's not coloring it red), but won't actually add Nale to the game until he posts. As it should... if the host had posted it.

I'll look into the bug after I finish the poll thread I'm writing...

Ok, it's a good job I used the add command then instead of any of the other host commands.

Permissions fixed, but the bot won't update his post until another command is used... like this: [add Gourmet]
