Halolz Pokemon League Part II: Electric-type Boogaloo
This is the (new) thread for the Halolz Pokemon League. Duh.
In a nutshell, the league is a simulation of the actual in-game league; a number of users take the place of Gym Leaders and the Elite Four, while others challenge them to win badges and claim the title of Champion. To do this, we utilize Pokemon Showdown, a program that almost perfectly mimics the X and Y gameplay mechanics. Pokemon Showdown can be downloaded as a stand-alone program or played through a browser, though downloading is recommended.
The main difference here is that two smaller leagues are run simultaneously, each with half the staff you are used to (four Gym Leaders and an Elite Two as opposed to eight Gym Leaders and an Elite Four). They are called the Red League and the Black League.
With that out of the way, I'm going to take more care and organize the rules and stuff more efficiently for this new thread, via multiple posts. This thread will be locked until I finish the introductory posts.
Current Leagues:

Re: Halolz Pokemon League Part II: Electric-type Boogaloo
Basic rules list. Everyone must conform to these rules plus any rules that apply to your position (specified in the next posts).
RULES FOR EVERYONE
Transparency
When you make your team, you must PM me the following details of all six Pokemon (or, for challengers, the five static ones):
Pokemon Showdown has an export function in the teambuilder that arranges all this information in an easy-to-read format. All you have to do is copypaste it and send it to me.
The species and nicknames of every Pokemon on your team will be visible next to your name on the league listings.
In addition, all matches resulting in winning a badge or defeating an Elite Two or Champion must have the replay saved unless I am there to witness it. I will be checking to make sure your teams have not changed in any way that violates the rules.
Specific Banlist
Underlined ones are ones that differ from normal Uber banlists.
In addition to things listed here, you're not allowed to have anything that hasn't been released yet in X and Y (for example the Gem items, Diancie (SOON), Soul Dew, Adaptability Dragalge, etc.).
Pokemon:
Abilities:
Items:
Clauses
With the exception of the Selfdestruct Clause, breaking one of these clauses results in the match being restarted. Breaking another one afterward results in forfeiture.

Re: Halolz Pokemon League Part II: Electric-type Boogaloo
This post pertains to the Elite Two in each league; rules and what you'll be doing.
To put it simply, you kinda just sit there. Like the Elite Four in the games. You sit there, wait for challengers to obtain the Gym Badges, then fight them. Simple enough.
RULES FOR ELITE TWO
To put it simply, you kinda just sit there. Like the Elite Four in the games. You sit there, wait for challengers to obtain the Gym Badges, then fight them. Simple enough.
RULES FOR ELITE TWO
- Your team cannot be based around the same type that another current Gym Leader or Elite Two member is using.
- At least five of your six Pokemon must share the same type; if the sixth does not, it must know a move of the team's type (for the purpose of this rule, Hidden Power counts as Normal-type). The exception is Mega Pokemon, which MUST share your team's type (more on that after the next bullet).
- Mega evolutions that change a Pokemon's type must share your team's type both before AND after mega evolving (for example, a Dark-type team cannot use a Gyarados since it is Water/Flying, even if they intend to mega evolve it into the Water/Dark Mega Gyarados, but a Water-type team could use either since both forms share that type. And while a Rock-type team could use Aggron, they would not be allowed to mega evolve it since it loses its Rock type, though a Steel-type team could use either).
- Similarly, with Pokemon that can change forms, the current form must never break the type rule. For example, a Normal-type or Psychic-type team can use Meloetta, but a Psychic-type team cannot switch it to its Pirouette Form because it loses its Psychic typing. And a Fighting-type team cannot use Meloetta in the first place since it starts as Normal/Psychic. The exception here is if you intend to use it as your non-matching Pokemon, but it still must know a move of your team's type.
- Pokemon of the same species and direct evolutionary line cannot be used, but Pokemon from branching evolutionary lines can (for example, you can use a Poliwrath and a Politoed, but not a Poliwrath and a Poliwhirl).
- Your team can hold no more than two of any specific item.
- You are not allowed to hold a spot in the opposing league, with the exception of Champion.

- Pokemon of the same species cannot be used more than once, but Pokemon from direct and branching evolutionary lines can (for example, you can't use two Vileplumes, but you can use a Gloom, a Vileplume, and a Bellossom... for whatever weird reason you would want to).
- Your team can hold no more than one of any specific item.
- You'll need a badge to hand out to people who defeat you. Think up a name that fits you or your team. Design it if you want.
- You are not allowed to hold a spot in the opposing league, with the exception of Champion.

Re: Halolz Pokemon League Part II: Electric-type Boogaloo
This post pertains to the method of challenging the Halolz Leagues and the rules those challengers must follow, in addition to how things change if they become Champion.
RULES FOR CHALLENGERS
RULES FOR CHAMPION
THE ROAD TO VICTORY (Challenger How-To)
So you want to be champ? There's a process for that.
First, you need a team. Start with five Pokemon and send me a list of them; you'll be using all five of those for the entirety of your career. The sixth is a free slot, yours to change around as you see fit between battles.
Next, you need to get all the badges. Obviously, you get a badge by beating a Gym Leader. Badges can be obtained in any order, and are never lost (except when you want to change your team as outlined in the rules, or if the corresponding Gym Leader resigns/is replaced; more on that later). Upon challenging a Gym Leader, they have 48 hours from when they receive the challenge to respond. If they do not, you win by default. You cannot challenge the same Gym Leader twice in a row unless they hold the last badge you need, and in that case, they are free to ignore any challenges you make for 12 hours after each battle.
Once you get all the badges, you can challenge the Elite Two. Unlike Gym Leaders, you're not allowed to switch up your free slot between fights, and no credit for incomplete work; if you lose to any of them, you have to fight them all over again.
Beaten the Elite Two? Now you have a decision.
You can choose to challenge the Champion in a battle to finally decide who is the very best, like no one ever was. You CAN switch out your free slot between the Elite (number) and the Champion, so go nuts. Remember that if you beat the Champion, you get one last chance to switch your free slot, and then you are not allowed to switch your team for as long as you hold that title.
If there is no current Champion, first person to beat the Elite Two gets the title, no questions asked.
Alternatively, if you'd like a more altruistic role, you can also challenge any one Gym Leader or Elite (number) member to a second battle in order to take their place (keep in mind that you cannot do this if you currently hold a non-Champion position in the opposite league). You'll be using a temporary team to do this, one which matches the rules of the position you're gunning for. If you win, that's the team you'll be using in that position, so choose well. If you knock someone out of their place, they begin again as a challenger. Probably with a grudge against you. If you take the place of a Gym Leader, their badge is now defunct, and people will need to win yours before they can challenge the Elite Two.
If you lose, tough luck. You've still got your badges, but you'll need to muscle your way through the Elite Two again for another shot.
RULES FOR CHALLENGERS
- Five Pokemon in your team must remain the same at all times (this includes moves, EVs, everything). The sixth is free to change between battles, with the exception of between the Elite (number). If you wish to change more, you must start from the beginning.
- Same species rules as Gym Leaders.
RULES FOR CHAMPION
- You must retain the five Pokemon that you used as a challenger; however, you are free to change your free slot one last time. In addition, you may choose from the following normally-banned Pokemon:
- Kyurem (Black form)
- Blaziken (non-Mega)
- Shaymin (Sky form)
- Xerneas
- Yveltal

Re: Halolz Pokemon League Part II: Electric-type Boogaloo
This last post pertains to how teams and staff can be changed.
Teams basically cannot be changed under normal circumstances. The easiest way for a Gym Leader or Elite Two to change their team is through the "Infighting" system (more on that later in the post), while challengers are better off simply forfeiting their badges and starting from scratch.
When you take a spot on a league, you're there until you resign or are replaced by a challenger. If you choose to resign, you need to find somebody to take your place. They don't have to use the same type as you, but they need a team that fits your position's rules. If an Elite Two wishes to resign, they need to find a Gym Leader who is willing to take their place, and another person to take the now-vacant Gym Leader slot.
Champions can resign whenever they want, though they forfeit their badges.
INFIGHTING & TOKENS
Bored of your team? Not getting enough action just by sitting around? There's an app for that.
Getting Tokens
Gym Leaders and E2 are eligible to challenge each other (by which I mean, a Gym Leader can challenge an E2 and an E2 can challenge a Gym Leader; Gym Leaders are considered to be teammates and cannot challenge each other, same with E2). This is one of the ways you can earn currency called tokens, which can be exchanged for many things (more on that later).
Unlike when a challenger challenges a Gym Leader, there is no penalty to declining these challenges and no cooldown period between potential challenges.
Depending on how well you do in your fight, you earn a certain number of tokens, as specified below.
Base tokens
Bonus tokens
You can only earn 20 tokens each day, unless you would earn more than 20 in your first match that day, in which case you will win the full value for that fight.
Spending Tokens
Tokens can be spent at any time, with the exception of by the Elite Two when a challenger is going through the Elite Two gauntlet and has not fought them yet.
Remember to keep your position's rules in mind when changing your team around.

- +1 for each remaining Pokemon on your team at the end of the battle, past the one that dealt the finishing hit

- +3 for sweeping with a Pokemon (KOing all six of your opponent's Pokemon with the same Pokemon)
- +3 for a perfect sweep (sweeping with only the Pokemon you led with and not switching at any time; stacks with the 3 tokens for sweeping)
- An extra 50% the total tokens you won if you issued the challenge (rounded down)
You can only earn 20 tokens each day, unless you would earn more than 20 in your first match that day, in which case you will win the full value for that fight.

- 4 tokens: Change EV spread on one Pokemon.
- 4 tokens: Change one Pokemon's nature.
- 5 tokens: Gold ticket. Can be redeemed at the start of a challenge, earns you 2x tokens if you win.
- 7 tokens: Change an ability on one Pokemon.
- 10 tokens: Change one Pokemon's held item.
- 15 tokens: Recreate one Pokemon (can change everything except its species).
- 15 tokens: Silver ticket. Can be exchanged at any time by a Gym Leader to challenge an E3 for their spot.
- 20 tokens: Change a Pokemon entirely.
- 25 tokens: Rainbow ticket. Can be exchanged at any time by an E3 to challenge the Champion for their spot.
- 80 tokens: Change every Pokemon in your team (your team's type does not change).
- 100 tokens: Change your team's type and recreate your team accordingly.
Re: Halolz Pokemon League Part II: Electric-type Boogaloo
Whew, done for now. I'll post the leagues' teams later, as well as challengers.
Note that the Black League is inactive until we get two more Gym Leaders in. However, its members are free to make challenger teams for the Red League, and Red League members can start getting their challenger teams ready for when the Black League takes off.

Re: Halolz Pokemon League Part II: Electric-type Boogaloo
Quick updates:
E2 rule update; Hidden Power now counts solely as Normal-type for that one rule.
If anyone wants to change anything about their team, do it now. Black League members can change freely until the league becomes active. Keep in mind that you still need to pick from the available types.

Re: Halolz Pokemon League Part II: Electric-type Boogaloo
Some irregularities I've noticed while writing up more detailed lists:
1: Aboi's Breloom has no set gender.
2: Aboi's Trevenant has no set nature, presumably Serious.
3: Tael's Aegislash can have another 4 EVs.
Also Aboi still needs to replace that Politoed as of the rule update.
EDIT: More.
4: DA's Conkeldurr can have anoter 248 EVs.
5: Yoshi's Rotom-W only knows three moves.
6: I might have an outdated version of Draco's team.
7: Skrist needs to send me a sixth Pokemon for his Champion team.
8: Stalin's Ferrothorn has no set gender.
9: Stalin's Gastrodon has no set gender.

You should also sign up for a slot on the Black League because we still need two more people to start that.

Another one: Skrist's Empoleon (Black League) has no set gender.
Re: Halolz Pokemon League Part II: Electric-type Boogaloo
I just switched the Empoleon's gender to male. I'm also going to use my entire current challenger team as my champion team.
Re: Halolz Pokemon League Part II: Electric-type Boogaloo
Eh, I guess I'll take a stab at Ground. And I will not be using Garchomp. Garchomp is for fagets.
Re: Halolz Pokemon League Part II: Electric-type Boogaloo
Red League is, more or less, good to go. Aboi needs to change his team up, and I need details on one of Skrist's Pokemon, but all the Gym Leaders should be set... assuming Yoshi fixes that Rotom before he fights.
Black League is waiting for Stalin and Scept's teams, and for Gamage to make his changes.
