Re: Screw dragons, a 7th Dragon run
Huh, Rita was mentioned again!
- Lawnmowing:
Welcome back toh dear god that is a ton of flowers.
Thankfully the enemies are no stronger. Yet. Though the bloom is the biggest issue. There's a lot of new gear in Miross that we want, but as shown in the last update, it's hella expensive right now. That is in direct relation with how much Bloom there is in the vicinity. The more Bloom, the more expensive it is.
Now, Bloom in dungeons respawn the moment you leave. On the other hand, Overworld Bloom never respawns. And in the bloom, you can come across a metal slime kind of enemy. It's easily disposed of if everyone uses an EX point, but if I come across one, I'll snap an image.
For now, let's live up to the name of this update and mow the lawn of this entire area.
Of course, doing so is extremely hazardous, but I can heal the party when needed, so it's no big deal right now.
As I am doing this, I'm noticing that enemies have a much higher ambush rate than when outside of Bloom. So maybe there's that too.
After removing this much Bloom, the price is down to normal prices! Yaaaaaaaay!
Now let's head to Rorakka Forest.
Nestor: Things have changed a lot since then. Hope you still know how to fight!
Yuuri: I think even three years ago, the Bloom had started to grow. That's these flowers. They're fragile and you can stomp them down. However, when they die, you'll be hurt as well. Please, be careful. They're hard to eradicate. Unless you destroy the root, they will return.
Genbu: And where the Bloom is, so also are Dragons.
Genbu: But they're strong. If you can't kill them now, stay the hell away. If you do take one on, try and hit it from behind for an edge. Whatever you do, don't let it sneak up on you. That means goodnight.
Genbu: Watch your map closely. When the counter hits zero, the Dragon will join in.
>Silent pause
Nestor: Guys, what we're facing... You won't be able to win with jittery nerves.
Nestor: But if you do not turn back the Bloom and defeat them... This world'll stay buried in these creepy flowers. Ending not with a bang, but with a whimper... It makes my skin crawl. All we can do to stop that is beat those Dragons. This's our last shot. Anyway, that's all for now. Let's check the area. Pretty gloomy around here, peaceful or not.
Yuuri: Please, ask me if you need anything.
And thus, our Dragon murdering spree begins.
Thanks.
OUR FIRST DRAGON AFTER OUR COMA, THE SERPENTINE. (I intend to show every type of dragon)
Hits moderately hard, and has a weak but party blinding skill, but nothing to really worry about. Weak to Shock.Wafu claimed this dragon kill.
Dragons are one of the best ways to get experience. The fun begins.
Healing up Lynn before continuing. Our current target location is that healing spring, before we kill every last dragon in here.
As Genbu said, if we get into a fight close enough to a Dragon, it will try and join the fight. Shown here is a dragon taking 6 turns before joining the fight.
Of course he doesn't get the chance.
Now let the carnage begin.
Once all the Dragons are killed, the bloom vanishes.
Thanks for the info.
Once we reach Rorakka Cavern, we no longer need to go through the forest to get here. We can just walk right over it straight to the cavern.
So let's head back to Miross and sell those Tailfins we got from the Serpentines.
Aw yeah.
It's a short update, but I think I'll end it off here. Next time, we go through Rorakka Cavern and reach Kazan!
And Gamage your character currently have 14 skill points, use them

Welp we're screwed.
Also 3 YEARS?!?!
All we did was fight the one dragon and then ran to that other town. Also we'd be starting now with no muscle mass. We'd be weak like babies.

Re: Screw dragons, a 7th Dragon run
- Rorakka Cavern:
Welcome back. This time, we're going through Rorakka Cavern with the intention of reaching Kazan.
Despite what this image shows, there's two parts to this cave. Meaning there's more dragons to kill.
The dragons in here are Gryphonuses.
Has a strong, 2-random hitting move in the form of Bloody Beak, which has a high chance of causing bleeding, and a party hitting move in the form of Featherstorm. Wafu got inflicted with Bleeding when this happened.
I got the first Gryphonus kill.
Also I came across the metal slime.
Unfortunately it ran away.
Trying to remember where the Healing Spring in this cave was, with no luck.
Shown here: the further away a dragon is from battle, the longer it takes to join in.
Paro Fruit here.
Ah shit.
Sod off.
>One quick trip back to Miross to heal
... Wait, where did these come from? I never bought them and I can't remember finding them...
I think the healing spring might be in that middle room there.
THIS BITCH HIT GINA TWICE WITH BLOODY BEAK, KILLING HER.
THAT'S NOT VERY NICE.
The way they spam Bloody Beak is NOT pleasant.
Against my better judgement, I press on, hoping for a healing spring in here.
It proved fruitless BACK TO MIROSS AND HEAL UP.
AND HERE WE FINALLY FIND CAEL'S FIRST PROPER WEAPON.
NOW HIS KATANA ART ATTACK BONUS WILL ACTUALLY WORK.
I think this is an accessory. This goes on Wafu.
Beautiful.
Dragon XP is good XP
Whoops.
Oh that's where the knives come from, the Gryphonuses drop them.
>Head back to Miross and heal up.
One dragon remaining, and it's a mini-boss.
Said dragon is the Triceratops!
Has a single target move in the form of Uppercut, and no elemental weaknesses. I tank it like nobody's business.
Overall, an easy mini-boss fight.
Yay!
We push this rock into this river to make a makeshift bridge.
Nestor: You better take this.
Yeah, with Kazan being the epicenter of the invasion and we've been in a 3 year long coma, I'd imagine things have changed there quite a bit.
Nestor: Kazan's surrounded by that damn Bloom. We made this map while scouting the place. It should keep you safe. We'll stay here and cover you from behind.
Yuuri: We're not a town, but we can provide you with items and healing.
Nestor: So if things are getting wicked, come back here.
Alright then, let's g-
Someone is upset, and for understandable reasons.
Nestor: In order to avenge the President, we trained while you were busy dozing!
Yuuri: Nestor...
Genbu: ...
Nestor: If it was truly his last request, I have to give you a shot. But, just one! If you let him down... I won't forgive you!
And now Kingsblade here kind of acts like a mini-town for us.
I like Genbu.
Yuuri is our healing spot, but I don't know if she revives fainted people. She doesn't recover EX points though.
Anyways, we have two more dragons to kill in here, so let's go do that.
Boom.
And boom.
Ah yes, this is important. Let's search the walls.
With a shortcut found, we have a much faster way back to Miross now, when needed!
As the map shows, the bloom covers Kazan as well, compared to how it surrounded Miross.
Next time, we return to Kazan.

Re: Screw dragons, a 7th Dragon run
I feel bad for him.
- We return "home":
Welcome home to Kazan.
This place is overflowing with Bloom, making it difficult to get through. On top of that, there are Dragons in this dungeon that will chase us.
Those being...
Hammerheads.
Hammerheads have powerful single target moves in the form of Headbutt, which can paralyze, and Downstroke, which can stun. Weak to magic.
Headbutt is especially problematic, seeing as Wafu doesn't have any paralysis healing skills yet.
I should also mention, all Dragons are resistant against Whip damage, making Lia not that useful. I'll see if they can't be Feared.
Also, Yuuri does indeed recover people from fainting.
This is the text that comes up if a dragon joins the fight by the way.
This fight eventually led to a game over though.
Whoops.
TAKE TWO
I feel better now.
Let's explore a bit.
Paro fruit here. And that's kinda it.
Occupied Kazan is our biggest dungeon yet, despite there being no enemies aside from the dragons.
never mind, there are enemies here.
Gina has dealt THE most damage so far in one attack, and this is with spp not knowing what he's doing. (This is EX boosted, by the way. Normally he'd hit at around 90 damage)
So many enemies
If only someone had an AoE
Oh wait, Sera has a 3 target AoE.
Oh boy
OH BOY
OH BOY
New sword for me, I believe.
Turns out it was for Sera!
We finally reach familiar territory, and this is one of the scariest screens at the moment. Most of these dragons are within reach so they can run to help.
And I intend to kill all of them.
Let's do this.
Video of the "whole" fight.
I'm... honestly surprised, actually. This went easier than last time I had to fight dragons in this screen.
Brb healing.
Stealing from the former item shop~.
To the north of here is the Imperial Dragon we're here to kill, King. As such, I am ending this update here. Same deal as with The First Dragon, I'm the only mainstay, first come, first serve.
See you in the upcoming boss update.
Edit: This means you apply for upcoming boss battle NOW.

Quoting to make the edit more noticeable. I'm passing this round since I got the last boss, but we can't let Grash fight it solo!

Well, if noone wants in I'll take the chance again.
Option is there for you all to join. (I'd only jump in if it took forever for the fourth person to sign up)
Though I would understand if at least Grash waited until the Narmer fight was over before he started this one (as I assume is the main reason most of you aren't), I think we both would appreciate if you at least voiced your dibs.

Re: Screw dragons, a 7th Dragon run
Bosses in 7th Dragon die faster than the first match against bosses in Etrian Odyssey, as far as I can remember. Chances are, this boss will die before Narmer.
Yeah, it's like that.
Also, put 7th Dragon on my DS and explored and turns out, Doris has one more appearance as Mr. Unknown that I didn't know about. As a result, showing it here on a different version of 7th Dragon. The one I'm playing is the normal version. The version this is shown on is a casualized version called ver. USA. 50% lower encounter rate and the Bloom does less damage.
At any rate, the inn in Kazan also have a bar.
Yeah, it's like that.

- So let's explore that bar real quick.:
Here's the stairwell.
And here's the bar and hey look, it's that green haired Rushe!
Well this guy is quite rude.
Drunk: Do you want to know what I think? I wanna see if you're any good. Come on, show me what you've got! Haha! What's wrong?
Though punching him is more rude, so let's not.
Drunk: At least you've got the spine to fight me!
And then Mr. President rushes in and tells the drunk to cut that shit out.
Drunk: Hey, what're you doing? Stay outta this!
: It's not your fault that Kamuro's dead. Stop blaming yourself.
Drunk: Cut it... who? What do you mean?
: Quit being stupid. You're going to get hurt. Is that what he wanted?
And now we have a sad drunk on our hands.
: When you get worked up like that, stay calm. Remember... Life is short, and you could die any day. Don't leave regrets. Make friends, drink up, and try to enjoy life!
And thus he takes his leave, leaving behind a sad drunk.
