"Commander, the Venomians are retreating again."
The Commander sighs as he walks towards the Lieutenant. "Ok, who is it this time?
"Nale, sir."
"ROB, take out Nale. I hope we got one of them this time."

The fighters all begin to return to base. Nale begins to fly a little erratically because he knows what's coming. He panics as the Great Fox lets off two shots. He narrowly evades the first one but the second shot tore a hole through the fighter as it exploded.
The drone recovers the black box quickly. When it's brought to the Commander, they display an image from shortly before it was shot down.
"Not again..."The Commander says as he looks upon a whimpering recruit.


"Wait, why didn't they know who we blew up?"
"I stole the Black Box."
"Excellent. Where is it now?"
"In my fighter. Oh, and you were right about not being the only active people at night."
"Yeah, I saw some people going into other hangars."
"What? I thought I told you only one of us would move at night."
"They'll never see me. I can wait camouflaged in the shadows."
"I suppose you're right. To be safe though, I'll plant the bomb tonight."

As morning comes, the alarms begin blaring again. The remaining fighters launch again to meet a slightly diminished Venomian attack force. This time, Phoenix explodes suddenly.
"Commander, should we send the drone?"
"I see no reason not to. Even if they stole the black box, we should check to be sure."
The drone zooms out and it's not long before it finds the black box.
"See? Now display from 2 minutes before the explosion."
The commander watches the video feed for a few seconds before stepping back in horror as Peppy sits down in the cockpit.
".....Analyse the footage from last night. See if we can find out who did this."

Nale tried to evade but failed miserably.

It's refined enough that you could buy a stout shako if you had two of it.
