Round 30 - Pokémafia Mystery Dungeon

Well, because of shenanigans, this flu and other shenanigans, I've been halting the beginning of this round... but then it hit me
Why not open signups now, then publish the story later on like everyone else did?
And so I will.

The Regular Clause will be applied for PMs.

Signups start now, close... um.... October 4th, seeing that I'll be pretty busy.

Now, let me tell you a little something about Balance. Since you guys wanted balance for so damn long, I'll give you a primer on this thing. This round will not have day-specific attributes or other related stuffs. A vanilla will not become a vampire when the barometric pressure of Mars raises 0.5% or stuff like that.
I was planning to do the above thing as a list, but this flu killed my writing prowess.

A long, long, time ago... in the middle of nowhere... right around the corner of the old ghost town nobody rememb--um... no, not that way. No no no, if you keep going through, you'll reach some OTHER middle of nowhere. We're talking about THIS middle of nowhere. The inhabited one. The one that has a village, far away from any other civilization. In this quaint, yet peaceful village, lived many Pokémon. Happily working for their daily "bread". The local Spinda merchant sets up his tent every morning to sell his various goods to the townsfolk, while a rather eccentric Floatzel tries to make people step right up and see his weekly show of magic and amazement, with his beautiful Gardevoir assistant. All the while the other varied townsfolk minded their own business, ironically contributing to other businesses... ahhh...
Such a peaceful life seems too good to be true...

...a shame I have to make it otherwise.

"Master Darkrai! Master Darkrai! We are ready to commence the attack on Villa Victoire!"
"Aaah! Excellent job, servant! So does that mean that the necessary mons have fully assimilated the acquired villagers, am I not mistaken?"
"Yes, my liege! That Zoroark you found has been quite useful with our ranks! He has completely taught every one of our ghastly members the secrets of illusion!"
"Grandiose! Make sure everyone stays put as I unleash the dark void. They already got the directions, no?"
"...Master, when I told you that we are ready to commence the attack on--"
"DO THEY NOT HAVE THE DIRECTIONS ALREADY?"
"M-MILORD! THEY DO! They will land a few kilometers away from Villa Victoire and stealthily arrive to the village in order to blend in with their surroundings!!"
"And...?"
"...OH! A-and, they will follow the plan of putting the village into an eternal nightmare-filled slumber!"
"Eeexcellent news, servant. Now, all opposing us will know the true meaning of FEAR!"

Something wicked has been going on Villa Victoire.
Multiple mons have been struck with a certain "illness". They go into a deep, coma-like slumber, only to later get constant shivering and shuddering while asleep. Suffering with whatever hideous thoughts and machinations happen inside their mind. This struggle with one self continues until the victim suffers so much that they simply lose the will to live, and silently go off into an eternal slumber.
Many townsfolk have spotted some shifty pokémon transform in a puff of smoke into multiple Ghost-Types, then grabbing the nearest townsfolk and submitting them to their devilish, evil acts of torture, until they end up asleep... forever tormented in a quasi-endless loop of night terrors until they die.
On the scene, there are two gentlemen walking towards Villa Victoire. A Ralts and a Pawniard, both wearing tiny, black bowties, casually strutting towards town...

"Mr. Vega, it appears that we have been walking for weeks now, and we still have not found any sign of this so called Tao Village"
"Now now, Mr. Brooks. No need to be so hasty. The delightful gentlemen from the last village gladly gave us directions to reach Tao Village. They shouldn't be lying about the location of the village after all the help we've done to them, am I not mistaken Mr. Brooks?"
"I concur, Mr. Vega. Although I am still surprised at the reactions of the locals. What with the implied murder..."
"...the hostages and the ransom we asked for..."
"...the multiple accusations of arson and larceny... I think it is nothing but poppycock, Mr. Vega"
"I concur, Mr. Brooks. There's no way they could've given us false information based on our helpful actions to society."
"Agreed."
"Agreed. Now, I think I see a town in the distance... we should ask about our current whereabouts in our endless endeavor to reach our destination and make a better life for ourselves, Mr. Brooks."
"To further ensure that this desire for information ends successfully, we must help the local townsfolk in any way, shape or form, Mr. Vega."
"Splendid idea, Mr. Brooks. Let us reach our destination posthaste!"


And so, the two make haste for Villa Victoire... not knowing of the recent events that have been happening there.
I'm sure those two will manage to get something out of this escapade, don't you think?

Oh crap I almost forgot to sign up for this.

As...Unerving as Stalinchu was, I think I'll have my Favorite pokemon as my Avatar.
