- Story time!:
- Somewhere in a classroom in Suzuran, 2 kids are left alone. They are Ringo Andou, daughter of the local Greengrocerer, and Maguro Sasaki, son of the local fishmonger.
The two seem to be thinking hard about something, posing in rather flashy positions to further demonstrate their heavy dose of think-hard...
"Hmmm...." uttered Ringo
"My my, why are you taking so long?★" said Maguro as he shrugged in disbelief
"It's just that there's no way that survivor could've ended up actually surviving that round! My calculations were precise!"
"Yes, but you didn't actually take into account the fact that this ended in a LyLo with no possible victory for you nor me."
"I still think that the host should've just ended the thing there!" she said as she started getting more and more exasperated "The survivor had a 2/3 chance to win! And the Mafia sort-of outnumbered me! And--"
"Oi oi, I think you should better drop it and have another round to see who's actually most fantastic Mafioso over here★."
"*sigh* I guess that's a solution." she then shouts to the entire classroom "HEY EVERYONE! WE'RE STARTING ANOTHER ROUND! LET'S GET TO IT!"
...but there was no answer.
"Ringo-chan, have you perhaps not noticed that it's been 3 hours since class has ended?"
"...wait, really?!"
"How do you expect to start a round with just the two of--"
"I know how to start a round! We just need more players..." she held that thought for a couple of seconds, until her focused face gleamed with joy and realization "and I know just the guy who can help us!" said Ringo, as she immediately jumped off of her desk and yanked Maguro from the shirt and ran off with him towards the exit
"Whoah! Hey! Easy there! This fantastic face needs to be treated with care!★"
Meanwhile, on the school's senior wing's science lab, senior student Risukuma is observing some flasks react while a nearby machine analyzes the reactions with detail. The machine's display reads "Current status: Stable".
"Hmm... maybe if I were to... mmhmmm..." he ponders to himself, as he adds a couple of liquids to some of the already-bubbling contents of some flasks...
"Oho... I understand..." he said, as the contents of the flask shined vibrantly.
...with a swift move, he grabbed another flask and tossed it violently to his entire collection, causing some to shatter, mixing and dripping everything, causing a highly volatile reaction. The machine's display now reads "Current status: OH SHIT NIGGER, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?"
*BOOM*
Everything seems to be smoking in a multicolored pattern as green fire engulfs the liquid mixture
"Magnificent! Now if what I've analyzed is correct, one of these two concoctions" he holds aloft 2 flasks, one containing a blue liquid and another containing a red one "would make this even more volatile. Now... carefully, I shall try with the--"
The door is slammed open
"RISUKUMA-SENPAI!" shouted Ringo, startling Risukuma, making him drop the Red-filled flask into the flaming mixture.
The result of this new mixture was the flaming liquid contracting in on itself, cleaning everything on its way to the center, and then imploding without leaving a trace.
"*sigh*... I was this close to obtaining the perfect fireworks display... what do you need, Ringo-chan and Maguro-kun."
"We wanted to play Mafia!" said Ringo gleefully while still yanking Maguro's shirt, as he struggled to break free
"Ah, yes. The classic party game. Unfortunately, it is quite boring with just 3 people. Impossible to enjoy, perhaps."
"That's where your science comes in, Risukuma-senpai!"
"What do you want HIM to do, Ringo-chan!?" said Maguro quite nervously
"I want you to use whatever science stuff and mixtures you have to poof us back into Primp Town!"
"Oh no... not this again" said Maguro with disgust
"I do not know which variables caused the reaction" began Risukuma "but I highly doubt we can replicate another explosion that would cause an inter-dimensional explosion strong enough to take us back to Primp To--"
"Less talk, more science!" interrupted Ringo as she made her way to the science lab's shelves and began tossing multiple flasks to the middle of the lab in hopes to cause something
"W-wait! Ringo-chan! Stop this silliness! You'll make Risukuma-senpai mad!"
"Are you perhaps implying the fact that I am not already quite mad? Because I can assure you that I--"
Before he could finish his statement for the second time, a huge, bright explosion covers the lab, blinding everyone
"Uwaaah!" shouted Ringo
"For a Mathlete, this was completely illogical, Ringo-chaaaaan!★"
"YES! This is the same molecular feeling that happened when we were transported to Primp!" Exclaimed Risukuma
The explosion faded and the three were nowhere to be seen...
...meanwhile, in another dimension, in the small town of Primp, Sorceress in training Amitie and Expert Sorceress Arle are having a match of Puyo Puyo
"BAYOUEEEEN!" vigorously shouted Arle as she let 256 nuisance puyo rain down on Amitie
"WAAAAH! Why would you do such a thing, Arle!?" yelped Amitie, under a pile of nuisance puyo
"Heehee... you really need to practice on your skills, Amitie-san." said Arle as she helped Amitie get back on her feet. "Your magic still needs a bit of polishing before you could even face greater opponents, like Schezo!"
"I guess... *sigh*... ever since Ringo and her friends left, it's been pretty boring around here."
"Aww, don't be such a party pooper. These peaceful times are quite comfortable! No cosmic beings trying to nuke the universe, no Satan to torment-and-or-stalk me, no high-stakes tournament... just a peaceful training session!"
"I just want some action around these parts! Is it too much to ask?"
Just then, Ringo, Maguro and Risukuma appear from the sky and land on top of the two girls.
"OOF! Uh.... what just landed... eh? Ringo-chan!" said Amitie while jumping with joy "How did you manage to get here?"
"I... *cough cough* uh, really just wanted to play with you guys! (ow, my legs)" she starts standing up "But yeah, I really wanna play--"
"PUYO! Let's play puyo!" immediately quipped Amitie
"What? No! I really wanna play another game with you guys"
"Another game? Oh! Like Water Puyo? Or with Sun Puyo? Oooh! Oooh! Or how about with those big ol blocks that are in the way of our game?"
"No no no! It has nothing to do with Puyo!"
"Nothing... to do with... puyo? How is that even possible?"
"Oh come the fractal on! Don't tell me you guys don't play anything that isn't remotely related to puyo!"
...
"Well..." began Arle "in my town, we had these multiple sporting events"
"Oh! Like the Olympics?"
"Puyolympics"
"...should've known better... look, we're gonna need as many players as we can, so get everyone around as I explain the rules to everyone"
"Sure thing, Ringo-chan!" said Amitie as she performed a military salute "but... I still can't fathom the idea of playing a game WITHOUT puyo invol--"
"WHAT THE FACTOR IS WRONG WITH YOU!? Get going!"
Many hours later...
...a large crowd has gathered at the center of Primp Square
"...and the game ends either when the Mafia ends up outnumbering the Town, or when the Town kills every Mafia member! Simple, no?"
Everyone gives out dumbfounded looks.
"Any questions?"
Everyone in the crowd raised their hands
"...that are NOT 'How is Puyo involved in this'?!"
Everyone but Sig lowers their hand
"Yes! Sig, what is it"
"Ah..." slowly began Sig, like he normally speaks with that bored, unfocused, slow tone of his "I want to ask... are there any bugs in this game?"
"No. Next question."
"Me again... how is puyo related to this game?"
"I ALREADY SAID THAT THERE WASN'T ANY PUYO IN THIS GAME!"
"And who said there couldn't be?!" said another voice in the air
"What the...?!" quipped Amitie
"It can't be!" exclaimed Ringo
"Show yourself!" shouted Arle
"My my my... would you really forget this lovely voice so soon?" jokingly said the voice as he laughed.
In the sky, a swirl of black clouds gathered in the center, as it began swirling downwards into the ground.
The clouds poofed away, revealing a mass of plasma which slowly began to take shape into that of the interdimensional cosmic being known as Ecolo... or Ekoro, depending on which side of the fan translation argument you're on. MOVING ON.
"Did ya miss me?" he said while striking a pose
"Ecolo!" exclaimed Ringo "No way in hell you're going to ruin our game! Now get ready for a beating!"
"Sweetness! No need to be so aggressive, my dear Ringo! I came here in peace!"
"Like we're stupid enough to fall for your tricks, Ecolo!" began Amitie "...we AREN'T stupid enough to do that... right?"
"I overheard everything about this nifty game you wanted to play! It seemed fun! And it didn't even need Puyo!"
"...go on..." said Ringo with intrigue
"Well, I like the idea, but everyone here seems to be a Puyo nut! They can't play anything without Puyo in it!"
"Oh come on! I can show these people how to play Puyo-less games!"
"Hahahaha! Please! They can't even do Rock-Paper-Scissors without involving Puyo!" He points to the left as they see Rulue and Draco Centauros facing each other
"JAN! KEN! PON!" The two shout, as Draco using Rock beats Rulue's scissors
"Huzzah! I won! Now you need to get yourself beaten in this Puyo match!" happily said Draco
"This can't be! Next time, you won't be so lucky!" replied Rulue
"...okay, you MAY have a point there, Ecolo" said Ringo "but still, I--"
"Ah ah ah! I proved my point! So here's my offer to everyone..."
He rises into the air and addresses the entire crowd
"EVERYONE! How about we add some puyo flair to this boring old game, huh?"
"YEAH!" shouted everyone but Risukuma, Maguro and Ringo.
"Let's make the guy who gets lynched and night-killed experience the joys of ninety-million nuisance puyo in puyo hell!"
"WHOOOO! ALRIGHT!"
"So you agree?"
The crowd went nuts
"YEAH!
"WOOHOO!"
"ABOUT DAMN TIME!"
"yay"
"HUZZAH!"
Ecolo grinned with glee "I'm so glad you all agree! And with that, you alsokindaagreetomebrainwashingacoupleofyouguystofurtheraddimmersiontothisgamemakingthosebrainwashedpeepsthemafia"
"wait, what?"
"TOO LATE!"
The sky was filled with dark clouds as everyone was getting purple smoke in their heads, making their heads hurt
"So, what are you going to do now? MYOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOO!"
Everyone collapsed to the ground...
...minutes later, everyone gains consciousness again. Ecolo can be heard offscreen.
"EVERYONE! Today is Day 1 of lynching! I brainwashed a couple of you guys to be my personal Mafia puppets and make everyone feel the wrath of some nuisance puyo every night! Now get to it, sillyfaces!"
"...gosh darn it, we really ARE that stupid!" angrily exclaimed Amitie

"Patience, Amitie." began Lemres "We must remember that this is still just a game. We must learn to have fun once in a while, no?"
"Well.."
"Here, have a lollipop."
"Thanks Mr. Lemres. I still wonder where do you keep ALL this candy, though."
"DID SOMEONE SAID CANDY!?" Ecolo's voice boomed over the skies, as he materialized floating above the center of Primp Square "because I sure do love me some candy!"
"What took you so long?" said Ringo
"Sorry, I was busy trying to save my bank account after all those microtransactions in Puyo Puyo Quest. That thing drained my wallet like there's no tomorrow!"
"Do cosmic beings even have bank accounts?" said Amitie to Sig, as he just shrugged the thought off.
"AAANYWAY, who did the little animals of the creation bring up as today's suitor for lynching?"
Everyone is looking at Ecolo with confused looks. Ringo just shouts to the crowd "PUYO LYNCHING!" with all her might.
The crowd finally gets it.
"Well" Arle began "We couldn't decide between these two..."
"Ohh..." pondered Ecolo "...eenie, meanie, miney, CANDY!"
"W-what? This can't be!" said Lemres as he was being lifted to where Ecolo was
"So... what now?" said Lemres
"Oh nothing, I just take a shower, have brunch, change shirts--what do you think I'm gonna do!?"
"If we're going to do this, it might as well be in a Puyo match! It must be fair. Candy?" he offers Ecolo some licorice
"A) No. B) Thanks! C) BOOP!" as soon as he finishes, a giant mound of Nuisance Puyo squishes Lemres down to the floor
"Well, I guess he won't be moving anytime soon. NIGHT PHASE BEGIN!" said Ecolo, and with a snap of his fingers, everyone went asleep.

"I'm fairly certain that we picked Amitie."
