Round 27: Lylat Mafia

With the doctor, roleblocker, and bus driver dead, I expect to die as well tonight.
I think Leo might have been Fox, from what he said to me about his role. He wasn't very specific, and I'm not a rolecop.

And with that, If Zink is Mafia, Axel probably is as well. If he's not, then it's Vat and...Yeah still probably Axel.

I guess I'll vote for Zink

"Wait, who are we shooting down?"
"It was a tie for most of the battle but in the end, Zink got most votes."
"ROB, shoot down Zink.
"Affirmative."

The Great Fox opens fire and Zink begins evading shots. Zink ducks and weaves his way around the barrage of shots from Great Fox. He moves closer and closer to the Great Fox but he gets hit just before he escaped the Great Fox's range.
They recover the black box. When they display it's contents, the first thing they hear is Falco shouting, "Hey Einstein, I'm on your side!".
"Goddammit, he may have been the last member of Starfox!"
"What about Fox?"
"There's still two dead people we don't know the identity of. Fox could be one of them."


"Ha Ha Ha, they finally killed that Stupid Bird."
"We can't lose!"
"But what about th-"
"Nevermind them. We'll deal with them later. Just go plant the bomb."

Morning comes and the alarms blare as a small Venomian attack force approaches the base. The last seven fighters launch and get prepared to engage when Stalin's ship scatters everywhere after it explodes.
The drone goes to move out to the wreckage but it stops when it finds three black boxes just lying out in front of it. It deposits the three of them into the base.
"Sir, these were just lying outside."
"What the? Wait, this is Scept's black box and that one is Leo's. Huh, this one is Stalin's. Who did this?"
They view the three black boxes and find out that they were one of the twin recruits, Fox and Bill respectively.
"Oh, it must've been Bill that did this. He must've found whoever was stealing them. Well done, Bill! If only you knew that last one was yours."

Zink couldn't make it to the Great Fox.

Well shoot, this really is our last chance isn't it. That said, I'll be voting for Vat.
While he was probably just voting for Zink last night to save himself, I think it's possible for him to be mafia.

I just don't have a good feeling about Draco between his earlier usage of RNG but Vat seems more likely to be mafia in my mind.

So, right now, I don't have any current suspects, but I think--
Oh. Well alright then. Glad I could help...

The battle had barely begun and Vat had already recieved heavy fire. He was doing his best to keep the ship from crashing.

"Leon, Panther, let's finish this now while the Great Fox is dealing with those cruisers"
At that point, all three of them bombard Vat with shots. Vat's able to dodge some and deflects some more with a barrel roll but ultimately he loses control and crashes.
"Commander, Cloak, Zyquux and Axel are returning to base."
"What? Why?"

Meanwhile,
"Sir, it appears that three of the enemy fighters have retreated after destroying another."
"Excellent. It's time to move in. All units, advance on the base! Destroy the Great Fox!"

Back at the base,
"Commander, more Venomian ships approaching! There's too many of them, we'll never be able to defend the base."
"Dammit. The infiltrators are still alive but we have no choice. ROB, break through the enemy lines and inform General Pepper that Katina is under attack."
"Affirimative."

The Great Fox begins charging at the venomian fleet firing off shots as Draco and Orion get overwhelmed by the fighters.
Suddenly, 3 Wolfens decloak behind the Great Fox and start attacking it.
"Can't let you do that, Great Fox!"
They begin unloading shot after shot into the Great Fox. The nearby Venomian ships swarm the Great Fox and the Great Fox was destroyed before it even escaped Katina Airspace.

With Starfox eliminated and the Katina base destroyed, Starwolf told Oikonny of their success and were given a hefty sum of money.

When it was discovered that Andross had cloned himself on Titania (This really happened, Starfox stopped him and Falco left in the real timeline), he quickly returned to power but made Oikonny his second in command and eventually, they became the rulers of the Lylat System.

StarWolf became heroes within the new regime and became incredibly rich but missed getting into scraps and having a rival to battle. Eventually, they left the Lylat system to find new Rivals to fight.

First, some things I need to explain.
Action order: Roleblocker-> Bus Driver-> Framer-> plant Bomb-> Janitor(steal it, view it, leave it in ship)-> Cop (this is how Stalin found his own black box)-> Doctor-> Switchback (Bus Driver, uses thrusters that wouldn't detonate the bomb)-> Bomb detonation

Framer mechanic: Terrible recruit and Slippy Toad become Millers.
Fox, Falco Peppy, Bill, Mechanic, Ace Recruit and Wolf are affected normally. All recieve a message the day after being framed.
The rest of the recruits are affected for 2 nights instead of one. They recieve a message when it wears off.

First, the awards related to the re-roll.

Biggest Promotion: Cloak. Went from a simple townie to the Mafia leader.

Biggest Demotion: Draco. Went from the terrorist to the worst role in the game.

Can't let you change that, Starfox: Mentle. He was the only person that managed to pull the same role both times.

Now the real awards.......kinda.

The "What the Heck?" award: Nyu. I really have no idea what was going through his mind on Day 3.

The "Is that the best you've got?" award: Panda. He was the doctor but he never sent a night action once.

Worst Possible Role: Leo. Never been lynched once on these forums and rolls the lynchproof. What makes it especially bad is that after one lynch, he would be a confirmed innocent Daytime Vigilante.

MVP: Tough one to decide but I'm going to give it to Zyquux for framing Mentle early and then Zink on the night Stalin chose to investigate him.

No sense of Balance: Me. I don't think I really need to explain that one.

I got Cloak right. I knew lack of Cloaklogic was a bad sign.

It wasn't really that bad, three mafiosos left show that we would lose anyway. The framer was lucky to frame me when I got that hidden weakness, and that caused Stalin to reveal his role and the town to waste a lynch on me (not that I blame them, I'd probably do the same). I guess you just needed to take out Nyu's role and leave the frame weakness to a single pilot.

Well that was fun.

Well I certainly enjoyed that mafia round. Keeping you guys in the dark about who and what was killed every other night certainly was entertaining.

Anywho, well done everyone! The mafia was horrendously overpowered and the multiple voting manipulation roles made the town rather weak as well. Too bad we had that infiltrator or we could have had a flawless victory.
