- “Oooh... everyone's moving around so fast...” Shamal smiled uncomfortably. “I can't even keep up with them.”
“Yes, it's quite impressive,” Signum said.
“S-Signum?!” Shamal took a step back. “How long have you been standing behind me?!”
“A few minutes,” Signum sighed. “You've just been staring at the battlefield the whole time.”
“I can't help it...” Shamal stared in wonder at the scene unfolding before her. “They're all so strong...”
“Well then. I don't want to hit you hard with Hayate watching, so...” Signum pressed the tip of her sword lightly against Shamal's neck.
“...Um... I guess Shamal has been eliminated!” Hayate called out.
Shamal sighed and began walking toward where the other eliminated competitors were sitting. On her way back, she touched where the blade had pressed against her neck. “...Hey, I'm bleeding! Signum, you idiot!”
Hunter Axel (Shamal) went out in an unglamorous way.

You are Shamal.
Section Six's medical expert and a master of healing and support magic, you must assist the recruits in defeating Captain Fate's team in this mock battle.
This is a variant of the normal “jailkeeper” role. Each night, you may target one other player. That player will be protected from night kills, but will be unable to take any action that night.
You win when Captain Fate's team has been shot down.

- “Here!” Vita yelled, swinging her weapon, Graf Eisen, at Tiana.
Swish.
Graf Eisen passed right through the redheaded girl.
“Tch, another illusion?!” Vita yelled. “You're starting to annoy me!”
Behind Vita, almost a dozen images of Tiana began firing at her.
“Dammit!” Vita quickly jerked around, avoiding each shot, not willing to test which ones were simply illusions. “You can't hide forever!” Swinging Graf Eisen around wildly, Vita managed to remove all but four images of Tiana from the battlefield.
“This is gonna be close,” Tiana muttered to herself. “But if I can hold out for just a little longer, Subaru should be able to take her down.”
“Gaaaah! That's it, I've had enough!” Vita waved her hand, and four small metallic orbs appeared in front of her.
“Schwalbefliegen.”
Vita pulled Graf Eisen back and threw her weight behind a mighty strike, sending each of the four orbs toward an image of Tiana.
“N-no way!” Tiana quickly dashed out of the projectile's path, while her three illusions dissipated. “Dammit, Subaru, any time now!”
“Now, then!” Subaru leapt out of a nearby tree behind Vita, her fist drawn back.
“Tch, idiots.” Vita swung around, her hammer meeting Subaru's punch.
“Wah!” The clash sent Subaru flying backward.
“That's not part of the plan, but now that her back is exposed...!” Small blades of energy protruded from Tiana's gun. “Dagger Mode!!!” Tiana swung the blades at Vita's back.
“...Idiot.”
CRASH.
The remaining orb from Vita's previous attack had come back around and struck Tiana in the back, sending her plummeting to the ground.
“Tia has been shot down,” Hayate confirmed.
“No way!” Subaru yelled, regaining her balance.
“You two are always so aggressive. Pay less attention to my back, and more to your own!” Vita yelled, charging at Subaru again.
Alpar (Tiana Lanstar) needs to cool her head a bit.

You are Tiana Lanstar, or just “Tia” for short.
Section Six's sharpshooter and illusion expert, you must defeat your captain Fate and her team in this mock battle.
This is a combination and variation of the normal “investigator” and “nexus” roles. You have two abilities, and may choose one of them to use each night.
First, you may target another player during the night and investigate them. You will be told that player's alignment, but not any abilities they may have.
Second, you may create an illusion of yourself, fooling anyone who attempts to target you and rendering you immune to any abilities that would have affected you. You may also choose to position the illusion of yourself in front of another player, causing any abilities that target you to affect that player instead.
You win when Captain Fate's team has been shot down.

- “Go down!” Signum swung her sword, Lævateinn, once more.
“Wah!” Subaru moved her head out of the way just in time, as Lævateinn ripped through the air where she was.
Signum took another step, readying her stance and swinging Lævateinn down again.
Subaru jumped back as Lævateinn struck the ground, kicking up a cloud of rocks and dirt.
“You can't stay on the defensive forever!” Signum yelled, dashing at Subaru for another attack.
“Grr...!” Subaru held out her hand.
“Protection.”
A small shield materialized itself in front of Subaru.
“Didn't you hear me?!” Signum swung Lævateinn again, smashing through Subaru's shield.
“Argh!” Subaru was knocked back a few meters from the impact, but managed to stay on her feet.
“If you're just going to take these attacks...” Signum gripped Lævateinn. “...then the fight is already over.” Signum took yet another swing at Subaru.
“...Now!” Subaru brought her arm up, connecting an uppercut with Signum's sword.
“Wha-?” The force of the impact knocked Signum off-balance, and flung Lævateinn out of her hands.
A small sphere of light appeared in front of Subaru. “Divine...” Subaru cocked her arm back.
Signum quickly regained her balance and held a hand out.
“Panzer Schild.”
A triangular shield materialized in front of Signum as she braced herself for the attack.
“...BUSTER!” Subaru threw a mighty punch, striking the sphere of light in front of her and firing a massive energy wave at Signum.
“Guh...!” The blast impacted Signum's shield as she struggled to maintain it.
“Just... a... little... more...!” Subaru panted, closing her eyes to increase her concentration.
Nanoha watched the struggle between Subaru and Signum from a distance. “...Raising Heart, are you ready?”
“Yes, my master.”
Nanoha held Raising Heart out, pointing it at Signum's back. “Let's do this.”
“Divine Buster.”
A brilliant pink laser lanced forth from Raising Heart, directly toward Signum.
“...Wha-” Signum turned around, noticing the impending attack. “Dammit!” Signum generated a second shield in an attempt to protect herself from Nanoha's attack.
An unsuccessful attempt.
As soon as Nanoha's Divine Buster touched Signum's shield, the shield shattered, leaving Signum to take the full brunt of the attack.
“...Huh?” Subaru opened her eyes. In front of her, a large crater had formed, with Signum's battered body laying in the middle of it.
“Signum has been eliminated!” Hayate called out.
Subaru blinked. “Did... did I do that?”

You are Signum.
One of the vice-captains of Section Six, you must assist your captain Fate T. Harlaown (nope) and fellow vice-captain Vita (nuh-uh) in defeating Nanoha and her pupils in this mock battle.
Each night, you and your allies pick one player to kill. Your captain Fate has final say over who is killed, and which of you will carry out the kill. If Fate is killed, you take over her duty of choosing the nightly target.
In addition, you are incredibly tough, and can survive most night kills.
You win when the mafia outnumbers the town.

Signum's Lævateinn, having been knocked away from the battle, was still flying through the air.

Lævateinn fell onto Hayate's head, knocking her down to the ground.

You are Hayate Yagami.
Commander and creator of Section Six, you have decided to observe the mock battle between your subordinates.
This is a combination and variation of the “survivor” and “dreaming god” roles, and is third-party.
You have a large number of abilities, and must choose one of them to activate each night. If you do not choose one, one will be chosen for you at random. Each ability has widespread effects, such as changing the very rules of the game, possibly even for the remainder of the game. The name and flavor text of each ability contains a small hint as to what it may do. Abilities cannot be used twice.
Here is a list of your abilities, as well as their flavor text.
Atem des Eises: “O ruler of the white snow, with sliver wings turn all the earth in vision into ice!”
Diabolic Emission: “In an ancient land, sink to the darkness.”
Hræsvelgr: “Corpse swallower.”
Ragnarök: “Resound, horn of the end!”
Scorching Sun: “The sun continues to burn today.”
Mistilteinn: “Approach from beyond, mistletoe branches, become spears of the silver moon, shoot and pierce! Petrifying spears, Mistilteinn!”
Collect and Use: “Hayate doesn't have a quote for this in the anime.”
You win along with any other winning factions if you survive until the end of the game.
