This season I'm watching Akame no Kill and Sword Art Online II. So far I'm really liking Akame, it's pretty good.
Also, been watching Samurai Flamenco. It's seriously fantastic. I'm only on episode 7 right now but so far it's done a very good job balancing seriousness and comedy. If you don't know what Samurai Flamenco is, think Kick-Ass, but better and an anime.

First half started off slowly but it picked greatly in the 2nd half. Lodesafeels, Less fanservice compared to other more recent yuri titles, Didnt care too much for the Akane/Hikari subplot.

Irresponsible Captain Tylor is an amazing anime. It's about an id focused moron who just so happens to be good at playing psychology by accident on virtue of having a naive but thoughtful heart. Unfortunately he's a lazy loser and thinks the military is an easy life, so he gets shafted to a secret space ship designated for misfits and losers and gets into a bunch of situations as its captain.

I have to say, I was expecting a good anime. What I got was a GREAT anime, and I just might actually place it as my all time favorite. The animation has absurdly gorgeous production value, the cast is colorful (and surprisingly a lot more familial than I initially expected them to be), writing takes a lot of turns and goes on all sorts of hilarious/otherworldly/empathetic points, setting is the distant future, and all sorts of adventures are had. For bonus there are dickheads in the political side on both factions during the story so things are always kept interesting. Admittedly the writing did feel like it was somewhat slipping during the last few episodes but overall there was more than enough to make up for whatever doubt you may have had about its slight consistency issues. Also pacing, pacing is never an issue. That's very rare with an anime, although maybe I can think of very VERY few exceptions. There's pretty much no good reason why anyone should have to dislike this show.

Progression of the story itself takes a lot of intriguing turns and is always revolving around a sneaky development of characters without ever actually losing sight of what makes the story good.

Oh, right, I forgot to mention that I finished Engaged to the Unidentified recently.

Absolutely hilarious, very sweet too.

Why everyone isn't watching it right now I have no idea.

So I caught up with Aldnoah Zero and I think I can safely say that Aldnoah and Dandy are pretty much the absolute greatest shows this season (I'm enjoying Nozaki though.)

Dandy's second season altogether is a pretty huge and much more memorable step up from the already good first.

Aldnoah Zero is pretty much the mecha show I've been waiting for for ages (well, it's not perfect, but I think it's already better than quite a lot of /m/ I've seen in my day which is kinda sad yet kinda good?) The most jarring parts about it are the CG and the lack of mecha actually detailed fights after the first few episodes but I'm sure the latter will at least turn around. The AZ universe is really rich with detail which isn't gonna stop growing, and is probably one of the best, if not the best fictional depiction of a war I've seen in any /a/ work. I'd be one of those people that so far, it's doing a better job than Gundam, but that kind of criticism often gets shut out for reasons I'm not too fond of. Nobody's allowed to be happy in the show, reminds me of Berserk in a sense. I'm surprised I like this show so much despite it (I think) being written and/or directed by Urobuchi, and I wasn't really favorably leaning to him after my first exposure. I'd certainly suggest it to just about anyone.

Oh yeah, can't forget

AZ's ED is probably the best ED I've heard in quite a while now. Can't really say the same about the OP though...

Also had one of the best season finales I've ever seen.

So I finished Ninja Scroll (movie) just now.

While I wouldn't round it out as a perfect 10/10, I would definitely give a 10/10 to its animation and artstyle departments. Brilliance and hard work really flies in every frame. Though I wouldn't really say its plot is well written nor its characters. Hell, did it even have an OST?

Amazing if you want some action in your diet, but I'd still say Mukou Hadan is much better in all regards. Still worth a watch.
