Maybe, depending of what shows you were watching right before TTGL, but Kamina is a carbon copy character with nothing unique or that much likable about himself. He is the hot blooded character who does everything without thinking, and his bravery is wasted ever since they learned the fusion, because their unit was a mobile Deus Ex Machina, aside from the moments Simon had emotional issues.

Probably not even a maybe, for me at least. I don't see many characters like him. So in some half-nostalgic sense I say he still fairly appeals to me.
I'd say just for being in a universe where people have been pushed to a struggle, it's kind of fun to watch him treat it as a game. Stupid? Yes but we've been over that.

I'm sure his bravery is what caused Team Dai Gurren to be made in the first place not to mention.

I just got done watching all 26 episodes today, and it's fuggen great.

it is, I guess, minus the bounty-hunting storyline. all racing. and stuff surrounding the racers and their team. zero bounty hunting. But seriously, go watch it. there's either an actual race with the mechs or race-footage in each episode.

A little more information, and some links.

Wakfu's a series based of the universe of some fairly popular tactical MMOs by a french company. The main appeal of the games is the artstyle, so imagine how a TV series would look. It has an extremely rich setting and backstory that I'd recommend a read of, it's really interesting.

There are 2 'eras', Wakfu and Dofus (both have respective MMOs). Wakfu is set 2000 years after Dofus, and both have their own anime (Dofus only has the 1 season so far).

There's also a bunch of manga that explore side characters and shit.
