Round 66: Touhous Bizarre Incident

On a warm mid-summers night, four figures had gathered in the forest near the Scarlet Devil Mansion in Gensokyo.
The kappa had brought news of a tear in the space-time continuum. The mikos had to be here, of course, and the magician is always sticking her nose into trouble.

Not that there was any to be had yet.

"And you're SURE it said it was around here?"
They'd been hanging around for almost an hour.
"Yes, I'm SURE. You think I can't read my own instruments?"
*YAWN* "Well, if it doesn't show up soon, I'm going home, ze."

"ZZZZUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNN~"

A large ball of light opens in front of the Mansions gate.
The gatekeeper snaps awake.
"Who's making such an ostentatious display outside the home of a demon!? State your business!"

Out of the light, a silhouette appeared.
"Who are you?"

Without a word, the dark figure charges and... disappears?
At the same time, dozens of knives create a sphere around the gatekeeper!
"Oh? This technique is-"
With practiced reflexes, she twists out of the way of most of the knives, catching what few would strike her.
"Hmph. Copying the Chief Maids technique is impressive, but you'll need more to defeat me!"

The interloper is nowhere to be found.

"... GET BACK HERE DAMNIT!"

Before she can give chase, more figures come from the light.
"More? Fine, come throw yourselves against the Great Wall of Scarlet Devil Mansi-"
"ORAORAORAORAORAORA"
"MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA"
"ARIARIARIARIARIARI"
*THUNK*
Leaving the battered body behind, the group moves on to the mansion.
"Th... that's not... fair..."

"Yare yare daze, another mansion to fight through."
"And it sounds like it's already stocked with monsters."
"Well, I guess it's time for us to be big damn heroes then."

"Yare Yare Da Ze. I like it."
"Th- they're...!"
"Great! I have a new invention to field-test!"
"... it's an incident."

And so, the worst days of Remilias long, long unlife began.

In a rush to lock down the incident before it began, the group rushes into the mansion. Inside, a battle was already being waged. Danmaku flying everywhere, knives sticking out of the walls, a fire raging in the center of the foyer.

"Sakuya? Sakuya! What the FUCK is going on here?"
"S-sorry milady, but some interlopers made it inside, and fighting broke out..."
"FIX IT."

No sooner were the words out of her mouth than a blinding rainbow of light erupted from the ground beneath them. A few thuds later, the light faded. In place of those present were vague, grey forms with odd markings on their chests.

"... I suppose that's better than property damage."

A door opened from the basement, a very singed magician spilling out of it.

*cough cough* "Is everyone okay up here? No broken limbs or fractured psyches?"

After a quick inspection, everyone confirmed they were okay.

"Okay, so, a renaming spell may have backfired. Until I work out exactly what went wrong and develop a counter-spell, you're going to be stuck like this. This could take a while, so I guess you could play some games while you wait? Maybe figure out who's who? I'll let you know when I make some progress."

"... So, who's up for a game of Democracy? We can sort out who's who (and get them the fuck out my mansion) while we wait for Patche to fix this."

"Sure, why not."
