Re: Pokemon: Halolz League
I just found out that I'm gonna not have time to be committed enough to this to be a leader, so slash me off the list and throw gam up there.

Re: Pokemon: Halolz League
So current signups are:
Leo (Fairy-type Elite Three)
Tael (Ghost-type Elite Three)
Aboi (Grass-type Elite Three)
Draco (Flying-type Gym Leader)
DA (Fighting-type Gym Leader)
Vat (Ice-type Gym Leader)
Yoshi (Electric-type Gym Leader)
Cloak (Normal-type Gym Leader)
Gamage (Bug-type Gym Leader)
You have until later today to contest types, whenever I manage to pull myself away from Dark Souls II and Atelier Eschatology. Then I'll finalize the lists. Gym Leaders need to think up a name for their badge, and make sure to turn in your teams if you haven't already. I need the following details for each Pokemon:
-Species
-Nickname
-Gender
-Ability
-Nature
-Held item
-EVs
-Any IVs that aren't 31
-Moveset
-Hidden Power's type if you're using it
If you click the Backup button in the team builder, Showdown should generate a list with all this information for you in the following format.
Kokoro (Mawile) (F) @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 6 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Play Rough
- Swords Dance
- Substitute
Challengers, remember that you get a free slot to change around as you wish, and I only need details on the other five.

Re: Pokemon: Halolz League
Roster and rules update. A little change to the Champion rules, and a new section about infighting.
If I don't have your Showdown name or your team, either you didn't tell me them (shame on you) or I forgot (shame on you).

Re: Pokemon: Halolz League
Everyone's team is locked into place and available to read.
Also I need badge names because only, like, two of you gave them to me and I forgot them.
EDIT: Got three, need three more.
So we can officially start whenever anyone challenges anyone. Basically, just remember to be clear when challenging someone about whether it's a formal challenge or just for funsies, and either save & post the replay or make sure I'm spectating. Your badges/insignia will be listed under your team, with a link to the replay proving that you earned them.

Re: Pokemon: Halolz League
I blame the people that kept signing up for Gym Leader/E4, we were going to have 2/4 instead of 3/6.
Re: Pokemon: Halolz League
We really do need challengers. There's no download and all it would take out of anybody would be time and probably pride if you lose. It's a browser game as well so it's not like you have to download some X GB game for it

Re: Pokemon: Halolz League
I've got a question regarding league infighting - what are we doing about type effectiveness advantages?
The way it stands, with how anyone can issue a challenge at any time, it just seems to me that some gym leaders could go straight for an E3 position by challenging a type they're strong against - for instance, vat (ice)taking out aboi (grass).
On the flipside, E3 has an advantage against some gym leaders when collecting insignias, but I guess that balances out because they need to collect them from all the types available. Maybe make it so that a gym leader has to defeat all the E3 before taking a position, or a rule that gym leaders can't challenge an E3 member they have type advantage against.

They can't. Only E3 can challenge leaders.
As you said, to balance that out, the E3 needs to challenge EVERY leader. So all that leader has to do is sit back and wait.
Re: Pokemon: Halolz League
Stalin has all six badges.
Once he stops stallin', he should challenge the E3.
